What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking to appoint an outstanding teacher of Psychology and/or Sociology. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our highly successful Social Sciences Department which consists of 5 teachers. The successful candidate would be required to teach A level Psychology and/or Sociology and would also have the opportunity to teach GCSE Sociology and Level 2 and 3 Health and Social Care.
Silverdale School Sixth Form is highly successful, popular and was judged ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted in October 2022. There are multiple Psychology and Sociology A level teaching groups and so this is a great opportunity to start or further your career in a supportive, collaborative and innovative environment.

Silverdale School is an extremely popular and high-achieving 11-18 comprehensive in the south west of Sheffield and is now the founding school of Chorus Education Trust. The school achieved the best GCSE results in 2018 of any state school in Sheffield. At Post 16 the progress students make places Silverdale in the top 10% of schools nationally.
