Based at St Peter St Paul Catholic Voluntary Academy, Lincoln

We are seeking an inspirational and proactive Teacher of Social Sciences (Psychology and Sociology) at Key Stage 5 who will support the delivery of high quality teaching and learning and who will inspire our students to achieve their full potential. The successful candidate will work in a supportive school where students achieve and make sustained progress as a result of our distinctive Catholic ethos. This role is suitable for ECTs or more experienced staff. Qualified Teacher status and good knowledge and understanding of the theory and practice of the National Curriculum are essential. The role will incorporate Psychology teaching, as well as Sociology for the right candidate. Moreover, the ability to teach Geography and/or Politics would be of interest to the school, although this is not a determining factor in the appointment process. Part time or full time working will be considered for this role.

Working in a friendly school community, we invite you to join us in our commitment to inspire every student through outstanding Teaching and Learning by enabling students to develop their skills, resilience, independence and confidence. As a school, we have an extensive CPD programme to support you in your career.

Visits to the school from prospective candidates are welcome.

In addition to a competitive salary, there is a pension scheme, generous holiday entitlement and access to professional development.

You do not need to be a practising Catholic but must be committed to working within a Christian ethos. You will join a school with a clear vision to unlock the potential of all of our students through our Catholic Virtues. All our staff uphold the core virtues and Catholic ethos of the school, regardless of religious denomination, as we work as a community for our children in order to help them to become fully rounded people who achieve excellent academic results.
