If you answer yes to these, Greenwood Academy is looking for you. Greenwood is a vibrant, successful 11-18 Academy situated in the heart of Castle Vale. What the school offers its staff

The purpose of education at Greenwood Academy is to ensure that all pupils, regardless of background, develop the knowledge and character needed to achieve personal and academic excellence to lead 'Remarkable Lives'. We provide students with some of the most vital substantive and disciplinary knowledge to access further qualifications but also to prepare students for an ambitious life after school whether that be accessing higher education or finding a true vocation. You would join a strong team which believes in a knowledge rich curriculum, through which Young People access a variety of high quality texts as part of an immersive journey.

We are looking for an outstanding Teacher of Spanish who is really passionate about helping our students succeed and grow as individuals. The successful candidate will be a team player who is passionate about their classroom practice and committed to ensuring that teaching and learning are the very best they can be. We need someone who is invested in developing their own subject knowledge and teaching pedagogy, as well as that of others. Candidates must be able to teach across the ability and age range, supporting the development of Spanish to the highest standards for all pupils at Key Stages 3 and 4.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be passionate about languages;
  • Have a proven track record of success and raising pupil attainment in Spanish
  • Have the ability to deliver innovative lessons, which demonstrate high expectations of students, and inspire them to succeed, improving achievement at both Key Stages for all learners.
