Teacher of Spanish job summary

We are seeking a well-qualified and motivated teacher of Spanish to join our high performing MFL team. The post is open to NQTs and experienced teachers. The ability to teach across KS3 & 4 is essential. Students begin their Spanish studies in Year 7, continue at GCSE, with a number choosing to continue to A Level.

Weatherhead High School is a large 11 to 18 oversubscribed girls’ comprehensive school with approximately 1540 students on roll. There is an excellent mixed Sixth Form with nearly 300 students. We have a PAN of 254 for each year group from Year 7 to 11 and the school of choice for girls in Wallasey and the surrounding area.

We were judged to be an Ofsted ‘Good’ provider in our recent inspection in November 2022. During the inspection, inspectors commented that ‘Weatherhead High School is a happy and friendly learning community. Pupils, students in the Sixth Form and staff are proud to belong to this school. Relationships between staff and pupils are strong.’
