The Role
This is an excellent opportunity for a well-qualified and inspirational teacher of BTEC Sport to become an integral member of our energetic and supportive team. With a focus on success, candidates should demonstrate a commitment to outstanding teaching and learning practices, to support the achievement, progression and well-being of our students. Similarly motivated by the provision of enrichment or progression opportunities, candidates should also consider innovative ways to develop extra-curricular sports delivery within the constraints of a busy and dynamic curriculum.

The Sports Curriculum
The curriculum at ONE currently offers the (Pearson) BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma in Sport; the Level 3 Extended Certificate in Sport and Exercise Science; and, new for next year, the Level 2 Fitness and Exercise Instruction. Alongside, a small number of students select to study our YMCA Level 2 Certificate in Fitness Training and Gym Instructing.

With a comprehensive range of industry links, students enjoy direct mentoring, progression and work experience opportunities from an array of local and national organisations. Always seeking to add to this portfolio, we welcome applicants with previous industry experience, who ideally hold industry-standard fitness instruction and personal training qualifications, with a commitment to expand students’ horizons through direct industry engagement.
