Teacher of Design Technology job summary

Larkmead School is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, talented and inspiring classroom practitioner to start September 2024. This is an excellent opportunity for an inspirational, enthusiastic and well qualified teacher to join our thriving Technology Faculty. The position is suitable for ECTs and experienced teachers. Although all specialisms are encouraged to apply, we are particularly interested in receiving applications from candidates with the ability and confidence to teach Resistant Materials and or Graphics .

The Technology Faculty at Larkmead School is an experienced and welcoming group of professionals. There is a high level of peer support and collaboration to reflect the high level of experience within the team. The successful applicant will be able to engage and inspire our learners to become confident and creative individuals with a passion for Design and Technology. Applicants will teach ideally Resistant Materials and or Graphics at GCSE. There is also the opportunity to teach A Level Product Design.

It will be essential for the successful applicant to demonstrate the capacity to make a real contribution to the work of this supportive and collaborative faculty. Faculty staff form a hardworking and professional team, who have a relentless focus on ensuring all students have a wide ranging and enjoyable experience within the faculty. Technology is a very popular option choice and students achieve outstanding results at both KS4 and KS5. We are looking for someone with the drive and energy to make a sustained difference to the students in our community.
