Teacher of Technology job summary
Acland Burghley School is seeking to appoint an outstanding teacher of Technology from March 2022 to cover the current postholder’s maternity leave, and to join our friendly and successful staff team.
This is an excellent career opportunity for a strong classroom teacher to work in a thriving city comprehensive which has inclusion at its core. You would be joining a dynamic Creative Arts and Technology team at an exciting moment for the school. Our technology workshops are well equipped and spacious, and have been supplemented recently by the addition of a Food Technology room. Our unique partnership with the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, who now have their offices and rehearsals on our site, places Creative Arts at the centre of our curriculum vision.
The successful candidate will be passionate about learning in Technology, and will demonstrate a strong commitment to ensuring that every child achieves the highest possible standards. Extra-curricular activities, including clubs and trips to galleries, are an important part of the offer. This post would be suitable for a well-qualified ECT, or a more experienced teacher looking for a different experience in a new context.
Situated close to Hampstead Heath in the heart of North London, Acland Burghley is a mixed, inclusive, community comprehensive school that enjoys high levels of parental support and a close collaborative relationship with other local schools. Above all, applicants should demonstrate an uncompromising belief in the potential of every student. If you share our passion for ensuring high standards for all, and have the ambition to be part of an exciting future for young people in our school, we would very much like to hear from you.
