What skills and experience we're looking for
Post: Teacher of Technology, with the ability to teach Food primarily, with the possibility of some Art Textiles
Contract: Full time/Temporary (Maternity cover) until 20th June 2025 or the return of the substantive postholder, whichever is first
For September 2024, we are looking for a talented and creative practitioner who ideally has experience of teaching Food & Art/Textiles.
You will be joining a successful and thriving department and a dedicated team of colleagues, who share a vision of excellent teaching and learning. You will have a passion for education, excellent classroom management and will be able to demonstrate a commitment to enhancing student learning.
We are looking for candidates who:
- Can plan and deliver a range of challenging and outstanding lessons, to inspire students and develop their love for the subject
- Encourage students, to achieve to the best of their ability, in both their practical and academic work
- Have the highest expectations of themselves and others; being open to new ideas and challenge
