Teacher of the Deaf job summary
The Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic, qualified Teacher of the Deaf.
You will join our multidisciplinary outreach service, which is commissioned by the London Borough of Waltham Forest. This is a chance to work in a joined-up service that promotes inclusion for EY settings, mainstream school staff, children and their families in the borough.
As an outreach teacher you will support multi-agency settings, schools and parents by:
• offering tailored advice and support for staff working with hearing-impaired students
• providing whole school training and individual staff training covering best practice and the latest ideas and guidance.
• working directly with students
• supporting parents and carers including some home visiting
• working in partnership with other agencies
• helping with the creation of online training and guidance materials and videos
The work will be with pupils across the Primary and Secondary age range. Own transport is a necessity.

SENDsuccess is an outreach service for Waltham Forest schools and parents. We support mainstream schools to help their pupils who have sensory impairment, autism, learning or cognitive disabilities. We provide support for pupils with sensory needs from 0-18 years.
