Specialist SEN Teacher (Primary/Secondary) job summary

Salary: MPS - UPS - £30,000 - £46,525 FTE (This will be paid pro-rata to reflect hours and weeks worked)

Working Pattern: This is a full-time, fixed term position working 1.0 FTE, 39 weeks per year

Pilton Community College is looking to appoint an enthusiastic specialist SEND teacher to develop one of its newest educational provisions.

Over the last two years we have been developing a range of enhanced onsite provisions that aim to support a particular area of need. This, our newest provision, will cater for pupils with significant cognitive and learning difficulties whilst providing them with access to a rich curriculum within a mainstream setting.

You will be working with a small class of year 7 students, delivering literacy and numeracy teaching to them every day. You will also teach some foundation subjects through topic work for them during the afternoons. In addition, these students will have daily access to our school farm.

The role is open to applicants from both primary and secondary colleges who have the relevant experience to deliver the fundamental building blocks of reading, writing and math's. The young people in the provision are likely to be working at around KS1 levels for much of their time in school.
