The Job:

Burnley High School have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic iMedia Teacher to join the school as soon as possible. If you are a passionate and dedicated teacher we would love to hear from you! This position is full time to start on the 1st September 2023, or sooner if available.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and inspiring teacher with a proven track record of success and raising pupil outcomes. The successful candidate will have a passion for teaching and learning and a strong commitment to making a difference to the lives of our pupils.


What does this job do?

• Implement and deliver an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum for pupils.

• Monitor and support the overall progress and development of pupils as a teacher/form tutor.

• Facilitate and encourage a learning experience which provides pupils with the opportunity to achieve their individual potential.

• Contribute to raising standards of pupil attainment.

• Share and support the school’s responsibility to provide and monitor opportunities for personal and academic growth.


What are the job requirements?

• Be a qualified teacher (ideally with PGCE, GTP, B'ed, Cert Ed, BA with QTS).

• Demonstrate recent experience as a Creative iMedia/ICT Teacher.

• Possess the skills and determination to make a significant difference to the lives of students.

• Be proven to raise and maintain attainment levels, keeping standards high.

• Be an enthusiastic, highly motivated individual who leads by example.

• Demonstrate good communication and interpersonal skills with excellent behaviour management strategies.

Burnley High School was founded in 2014 in Burnley, Lancashire. It is a mainstream school for mixed pupils aged 11-16. Burnley High School is part of the Education Partnership Trust.
