Teacher (Resource Base) job summary

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, dynamic Class Teacher, who has an interest and passion for working with children with complex needs, to join our wonderful Resource Base team at Castle MeadSchool in Trowbridge. Castle Mead is a delightful schooland has anexceptional teaching team. This team, in conjunction with wonderful support staff, always aim to ensure children’s experiences are the very bestthey can be. 

The successful candidate will be passionate about working with children with complex needs, with responsibility for teaching a class within the Resource Base. They will be someone who has: 

  • Good knowledge of the SEN code of Practice, including a deep understanding of special learning needs such as ASD, ADHD, Global Delay, Attachment, Physical and Speech & Language needs
  • Experience in teaching children with SEND, preferably with experience in a Complex Needs Resource Base
  • The ability to liaise effectively with mainstream colleagues, parents and outside agencies
  • Experience and knowledge of Annual Reviews and the EHCP process 

 They will need to be:
