Job summary

Are you currently an NQT or an experienced teacher who is looking to join a friendly and supportive school?

Rush Common Primary School is looking for an excellent teacher who puts the children at the centre of their practice. We are looking for someone who is good at motivating and supporting pupils, has high standards for learning and behaviour, but who also knows how to make learning creative and fun.
What we can offer you:
• Well behaved, enthusiastic children
• A friendly and supportive staff team
• A supportive and approachable Senior Leadership team and Governing Body
• Supportive parents who value your work

We are seeking a candidate who:
• is an excellent practitioner, and is creative, enthusiastic, positive and motivated
• is committed to the education and well-being of all children
• is able to work well as a team player

Our latest Ofsted report (Jan 2017) stated that:
“Teachers, including those at an early stage of their career or those who are relatively new to the school, are supported well. Staff are positive about the support they receive.”
“Pupils say that they enjoy their learning because teachers make their lessons fun…. Pupils are terrific advocates for their school, enthusing about a whole host of different aspects.”
“Pupils are attentive in lessons and show a high degree of independence and self-motivation.”

As part of Abingdon Learning Trust, Rush Common School is an equal opportunities employer that recognises the terms and conditions of maintained schools, including maternity benefits and continuous service.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All offers of employment are subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure.

This is an exciting time to join us. As the school continues to flourish, your contribution and commitment will be part of that future.
