The Role
We are currently seeking to appoint an exceptional person to join our expanding Science team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an NQT looking to begin their teaching career or an experienced teacher looking for their next role.

The Department
Our Science department currently consists of 9 excellent practitioners. We will provide an excellent support and mentoring programme for the successful candidate to ensure that you can fulfil your own ambitions and potential.

The School
Manchester Health Academy opened in September 2009 and is sponsored by Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. In September 2010 the Academy moved into a £20 million state-of-the-art building and to accommodate a growing student population we have just completed a further £10 million expansion project. Rated by Ofsted in April 2015 as a good school, with many outstanding features, we are now embarking on the next stage of our journey to outstanding and are looking for exceptional and inspiring individuals to help us achieve this ambition.

What we’re looking for
As a member of the Academy teaching staff you will be tasked with delivering an exceptional standard of teaching and learning, which raises aspirations and leads our students to the achievement of the highest academic standards.
This role represents an exciting opportunity to work as a member of a committed and highly innovative team delivering a curriculum where collaboration and team work is essential. We are seeking a highly original and innovative individual, able to make an exceptional contribution to a strong team.
Motivation, commitment and a genuine desire to improve outcomes for our students, allied with a passion for science which enthuses both students and teachers alike are all minimum requirements. The role will involve teaching all three sciences (biology, chemistry and physics) across both KS3 and KS4. A Biology or Physics specialism would be preferred.
