What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking to recruit a SEND teacher to work with a Year 10/11 Green Curriculum class. The successful teacher will provide learning that will make a lasting change to our students. This post will be ideal for a Secondary SEND teacher or an Upper Primary Teacher who would like to work in a secondary setting.

At Shaftesbury we recognise that academic success for our students is a combination of high quality teaching, a well-designed curriculum, and meeting the student’s pastoral needs.

Becoming part of the Shaftesbury team is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher who wants to work in a culture that has high expectations for students with SEND.

Our Green Curriculum is ambitious, led by EHCP needs, and places meeting students’ needs, who are studying the Green Curriculum, at the heart of their success in learning. Our Green Curriculum has a real purpose in starting to prepare our students for employability and life.

What the school offers its staff

Understanding the importance of work/ life balance and wellbeing is at the heart of our leadership and our learning.
