Be the best we can be!

The governors at Sitwell Infant School wish to appoint a kind, creative and inspiring individual to join our outstanding teaching team.

Sitwell Infant School is a large infant school; we have a three-form entry into Foundation Stage 2 with approx. 75 children in each year group. We are situated in a residential part of Rotherham, close to the motorway, hospital and town centre. We are fortunate to share a pleasant and extensive site with Sitwell Junior School; with whom we work closely with. We are a diverse and multi-cultural school, with over 20 languages represented! The children and staff are very proud of our diversity and truly believe we are a unique and special school.

To be able to teach at Sitwell Infants is a privilege; we believe that every day is a new opportunity to empower our children to become the best version of themselves. We are a dedicated, dynamic team who work tirelessly to create and deliver the very best outcomes for all our children across the curriculum in both key stages. If enthusing and inspiring children to be the best they can be is at the heart of all you do, then Sitwell Infants is the place for you! Our staff are passionate about pedagogy and recognise that proactive, professional development is essential to high quality teaching and learning. We believe that we are all lifelong learners and all staff are leaders of learning at our school.

At Sitwell Infants, we believe that developing the whole child through quality first teaching, first hand learning experiences and accurate support are the essential components for success. We are a nurturing school and children’s social and emotional development is prioritised alongside their academic learning and progress. Our leadership team work hard to ensure that staff well-being is prioritised and our governing board is ambitious, supportive and open to new ideas and approaches.

In accordance with the statutory guidance ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’ (KCSIE) an online search will be conducted as part of due diligence on shortlisted candidates.
