Teacher (KS2) job summary
The Grange Academy is an inclusive, forward-thinking and community-minded junior school which embraces innovative opportunities to improve. The school is on a journey to raise the outcomes of students at the end of Key Stage 2, and we balance this with a commitment to providing curriculum enrichment opportunities and supporting the students’ personal development in order to grow empathetic, altruistic and curious citizens of the future. Therapeutic Thinking lies at the heart of our relationships with the students. Agora Learning Partnership provides us with excellent school improvement support as part of the 'Together' strategy, including the opportunity to participate in Peer Reviews, drawing on a wealth of experience from other schools within the Trust, as well as a School Improvement Partner. We also invest in Teaching and Learning Advisor support from Herts For Learning (HfL), so teachers receive the latest initiatives and gain personalised support on how to develop their practice. The wellbeing of staff is a high priority, with dedicated PPA and subject leadership time, as well as daily protected time after school on several days a week where all staff are guaranteed not to be disturbed.
We are seeking a passionate, personable and qualified teacher who will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning to our pupils. You will foster a positive classroom environment and collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the overall success of the school. Should you come to work for us, all your teacher's rights and benefits remain the same as an HCC school and your pension will continue with Teacher's pensions.
We wish you the very best of luck with your application and hope to meet you soon!
If you have any queries or would like a tour of the school, please contact the school on 01462 621444, or email admin@grange.herts.sch.uk.
