Introduction to role

As a Phase Leader, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the education and development of our staff and learners. You will lead a team of enthusiastic and skilled teachers, providing support and guidance to ensure the delivery of outstanding teaching and learning. You will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of the curriculum and accuracy of assessment, monitoring progress, and ensuring that our pupils are reaching their full potential.

Aim and main purpose of the role:

  • To support and develop the general aims and ethos of the school and IFtL
  • To have responsibility for a class of primary aged pupils across the whole ability range
  • To ensure pupils safety at all times and follow the school safeguarding procedures
  • To work as part of a team
  • To be a phase leader. The role holder will have prime responsibility for leading and managing their phase team.
  • To ensure their phase team is supported to obtain the highest standards of learner achievement and contribute to the strategic planning of the school.
