Teacher - Year 4 job summary

This position is for a full time Year Four teacher covering all aspects of planning, teaching and class management (temporary for 1.5 terms). We are looking for a teacher who is enthusiastic, creative and committed to raising standards for all children. The teacher will be expected to identify clear learning objectives and plan for sequences of learning across all subject areas in the primary curriculum. The sequences of learning must take account of varying needs building on children’s prior attainment. The successful candidate will have a good knowledge of meeting the needs of all pupils including SEND pupils and the most-able. The class teacher will be expected to complete all assessment procedures in line with school policies. At Moon’s Moat First School our staff nurture all children and our ethos is ‘Children learn what they live.’ Teachers must be able to form positive relationships with children and have excellent behaviour management skills. The teacher will have teaching assistants supporting them in the classroom. We require someone who is hard working, flexible and able to make an active contribution to the broader life of the school.
