What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking for excellent, ambitious teachers to join our innovative and supportive English team. We offer a range of potential locations around East Anglia and North-East London*. If you live near one of these areas, then we have a school close to you.
We offer the chance to be part of a team of secondary English specialists who:
- Collaborate together to work smarter not harder
- Embrace and promote education research through our dedicated Research School
- Respond to our own needs, designing our own targeted CPD and support
- Provide enormous career development opportunities within individual teams, schools and the wider trust
- Care about our people – we follow the Ethical Leadership Framework in everything we do
- Have a track record of supporting trainees and ECTs in becoming highly effective teachers
If you seek to be excellent and would like to know more about how we will help you achieve that, please complete the application form.
We want you to be a success in your role, therefore the weeks prior to the summer break will be for induction and training. You will spend time at your new school, be part of a supportive new starter cohort and visit other nearby trust locations with financial support on travel as per our expenses policy. Once this initial training is completed, you will have the equipment, knowledge and information you need to enjoy your summer break and be ready to thrive in September.
*Our Secondary Schools are located in Brandon, Bury St Edmunds, Felixstowe, Haverhill, Newmarket, Sudbury and Romford. Please specify on your application which locations you wish to work in.
What the school offers its staff
We are deeply committed to staff wellbeing and work-life balance. One way we support this is with our two-week autumn half-term break, allowing our staff to rest and recharge. Additionally, we provide numerous professional development opportunities that foster a positive and supportive work environment. Our goal is to ensure that every member of our team feels valued and equipped to succeed in their roles.
Flexible working opportunities
We care deeply about inclusive working practices and diverse teams. If you’d prefer to work part-time or as a job-share, we’ll facilitate this wherever we can – whether to help you meet other commitments or to help you strike a great work-life balance. We’re keen to ensure we’re designing an organisation that works for everyone, so we particularly encourage applications from under-represented groups.
