Teachers (SEND) job summary
We are seeking teachers with the passion and ability to engage children and young people who communicate their needs through challenging behaviour, enabling accelerated progress. We have one post arising from expanding our offer. As such an ability to lead creative, sporting or practical subjects would be beneficial but not essential.
Whilst this opportunity suits both primary and secondary trained teachers, we are particularly keen to attract primary teachers seeking to expand their knowledge and experience prior to leadership. It is also suitable for NQTs looking to gain experience in specialist education.
Commitment to safeguarding
Our organisation is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults. We expect all staff, volunteers and trustees to share this commitment.
Our recruitment process follows the keeping children safe in education guidance.
Offers of employment may be subject to the following checks (where relevant):
childcare disqualification
Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS)
medical
online and social media
prohibition from teaching
right to work
satisfactory references
suitability to work with children
You must tell us about any unspent conviction, cautions, reprimands or warnings under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975.
