Beormund Primary is a unique SEMH special needs setting serving children from 5 London boroughs. Our children arrive having experienced some form of trauma, a plethora of medical diagnosis and a disassociation with school. Collectively, as a team, we are driven to reignite their love of learning.
We support children with social, emotional and mental health needs; all arriving with EHC plans and many having been excluded from a mainstream provision. We rely on a successful, driven team of people, dedicated to improving the lives of highly vulnerable children and their families. We are currently looking to recruit new members to our support staff team.
We hold high expectations of our children who make accelerated progress in terms of their academic achievement and just as importantly their social, emotional and academic behaviours. Successful candidates will have the responsibility for keeping children safe, developing their self-esteem, providing appropriate challenge as well as supporting teachers in delivering purposeful, inspiring and engaging learning experiences.
We are looking for a teaching and learning support staff members who:
• has a dynamic personality, caring attitude, patience, enthusiasm and emotional intelligence;
• a keen interest in children’s learning; knowledge of the curriculum;
• can demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills; competent English and Maths skills
• has the ability to work as part of a team, is keen to learn and work on their own initiative
• can work well under pressure, has a resilient nature and a good sense of humour.
