What skills and experience we're looking for

The successful candidates will have experience across key stages 3 and 4; have an excellent understanding of the expectations of learners, a good standard of English and Maths and have the personal drive to achieve excellence.

We are looking for teaching assistants who will:

  • Provide support under the direction of teaching staff to a consistently high standard
  • Provide specific support to the teacher in the care of pupils and management of the classroom.
  • Be able to share good practice with colleagues and work flexibly alongside and in support of them.
  • Have a track record of successfully assisting in raising standards and in ensuring all pupil groups make good progress.
  • Act practically to promote the ethos of learning.
  • Has the skill to develop effective relationships with staff and pupils.
  • Promote the welfare of the pupils and staff.
