Teaching Assistant

Salary: Grade 4 £25,183 - £26,409 p.a pro rata, £19,195 - £20,130 p.a actual

32.5 hours per week, term time plus training days (39 weeks per year)

Monday – Friday 8.15am – 3.15pm with a half hour unpaid break

We are looking to recruit a Teaching Assistant who will work under the direct supervision of the SENCo to support students with Special Educational Needs. Your role will include being with students in lessons and delivering intervention on a 1-1 basis. You must enjoy the challenge of working with young people and want to make a difference to their wellbeing and education.

Ideally, you will have previous experience of working with young people and/or an understanding of special needs. Experience of supporting children with ASD/ADHD would be advantageous. We welcome applicants interested in entering teaching who would like to gain experience before applying for teacher training.

The ideal candidate will: -

Experience of working with young people and/or an understanding of special needs

Be a proficient IT user with the ability to work efficiently with a high degree of accuracy

Have excellent communication skills that allows you to inform, coach and advise others

Want to make a difference to the children in our care
