An exciting opportunity has become available at our state of the art school. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic, highly-motivated Teaching Assistant.
As part of our drive to deliver outstanding outcomes for our most vulnerable students, we are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to join our Student Support team to work with individuals and groups of students who have special educational needs.
You will work with the Assistant SENCO, Inclusion and class teachers to deliver complementary learning activities for pupils with SEND or inclusion needs. We are looking for someone with a flexible and creative approach, who can join our existing team and bring new ideas and a strong work ethic to deliver positive outcomes for students.
Candidates should be able to demonstrate good literacy and numeracy skills with evidence of grade A*-C or 5+ in Maths and English at GCSE level. The ability to use I.C.T. as a learning tool would be an advantage however training will be given.
Experience of working with children and/or students is essential and completion of a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is preferable.
Successful applicants will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be able to liaise effectively with a wide range of people including teachers, pupils, and the SEND Team.
You will join a supportive environment where professional development is enhanced through the local National Teaching School which is part of our Academy Trust.
