Teaching Assistant 1:1 and General Class Support job summary
We are seeking to employ a Teaching Assistant who can provide a mix of support to children with an Education, Health and Care Plan, working in class on a 1:1 basis, and also in small groups for additional teaching and intervention where necessary. Part of this role includes more general classroom support and supporting children at lunchtime.

This role is for 35 hours a week. Salary Grade: Level 2A Points 3 - 4 (£22,787 - £23,114 FTE)
Morning Hours: 8:30 – 12:30 (Lunchtime Supervision included from 11:45 - 12:30) This includes 15 minutes at the start of the day for discussion with staff and preparation.
Lunch: 12:30 – 1:00 (unpaid)
Afternoon Hours: 1:00 – 4:00 (This includes 30 minute end of day time for preparation, updating records and liaison with colleagues. Lunch Duty supporting children to enhance their social and emotional skills, and 30 minutes end of day prep / finishing off time.)
This is a fixed term role until 31.8.2026 in the first instance as it is linked to dedicated schools funding. The post is term time only plus 5 training days. The start date for the post is ‘as soon as possible’ and is dependent on the applicant appointed and any notice periods which need to be served.
