Teaching Assistant 1:1 SEND job summary
Job Title: Teaching Assistant Level 1
Contract Term: Fixed Term until 31st July 2022
Salary: £15,671-£16,630 Pro Rata (£18,562-£19,698 FTE)
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Full Time (32.5 hrs) 39 weeks per year
We are looking to appoint two motivated and dedicated teaching assistants (1:1) to support pupils with an EHCP. Both are temporary appointments until 31 July 2022 and will be to start ASAP. Both roles would allow the right candidates to build on their existing knowledge and skills whilst being able to flourish in a progressive and caring school.
Both roles involve the following:
To support the child on a personalised plan within a mainstream reception class
To deliver specific intervention including those related to Communication, Speech and Language.
Adapt planning and create resources to meet the child’s individual needs.
Ensure the child is safe and secure within the learning environment.
Experience of working with children on the Autistic Spectrum
Position 1: To support a Reception age pupil we are looking for the following experience;
The following would be an advantage
To attend to the child’s physical needs in line with our Intimate Care Policy
Training in first aid and positive handling.
Position 2: To support a Year 5 age pupil we are looking for the following experience;
Experience of working with children with social and emotional health issues.
