What skills and experience we're looking for
Level 2 - 5 days a week (30 hours per week by arrangement).
Salary Scale 2 5-6 (£21,575 - £21,968) Pro rata – Term-time only. (Actual salary approx £16,600 to £16,950 per annum)

In order to further support the changing needs of our school we are looking to extend our Teaching Assistant Team. We are seeking to appoint a caring Teaching Assistant with a particular interest in supporting the development of reading to join our committed, professional and friendly team.
We would be particularly interested in hearing from applicants who:
have experience in or a desire to support children in developing their Reading skills and/or
have experience of successfully supporting disadvantaged children with learning and/or
have experience of successfully supporting children who are new to English and/or
have experience of successfully supporting children with communication and interaction needs or a desire to do so
have a good rapport with children and are able to engage them in learning
have high expectations for pupils’ work and behaviour
are able to promote the aims and values of the school
are able to work flexibly as part of a team with drive and passion to ensure that all children achieve
are willing and able to share good practice and learn from others

Teaching Assistants working at Level 2 are expected to be flexible, able and willing to work with different age groups and children as required (including those with medical, challenging and/or complex needs).
