What skills and experience we're looking for

Level 2 - 5 days a week (30 hours per week by arrangement).

Salary Scale 2 5-6 (£21,575 - £21,968) Pro rata – Term-time only. (Actual salary approx £16,600 to £16,950 per annum)

In order to further support the changing needs of our school we are looking to extend our Teaching Assistant Team. We are seeking to appoint a caring Teaching Assistant with a particular interest in supporting the development of reading to join our committed, professional and friendly team.

We would be particularly interested in hearing from applicants who:

  • have experience in or a desire to support children in developing their Reading skills and/or

  • have experience of successfully supporting disadvantaged children with learning and/or

  • have experience of successfully supporting children who are new to English and/or

  • have experience of successfully supporting children with communication and interaction needs or a desire to do so

  • have a good rapport with children and are able to engage them in learning

  • have high expectations for pupils’ work and behaviour

  • are able to promote the aims and values of the school

  • are able to work flexibly as part of a team with drive and passion to ensure that all children achieve

  • are willing and able to share good practice and learn from others

Teaching Assistants working at Level 2 are expected to be flexible, able and willing to work with different age groups and children as required (including those with medical, challenging and/or complex needs).
