Teaching Assistant 22.5 hours per week job summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Teaching Assistant to join our hard-working and committed staff team. This vacancy is linked to an EHCP child and will therefore end when the child leaves the school. The role will involve supporting our children with specific targets during the school day and the last hour will be supervising children at lunchtime. A breakdown of the hours is detailed below.
We would really like to meet you if you if you are passionate about working with children and have the ability to inspire learning and support the development of the whole child.
You should have a high standard of general education with good numeracy and literacy skills. You will be able to communicate effectively with children and adults, have a flexible attitude, a good sense of humour and be friendly and approachable. Experience of working with children, good time management and the ability to work flexibly using your own initiative are essential. All applications will be considered and while experience would be an advantage, it is not essential as relevant training will be given to the right candidate.
The recruitment process is robust in seeking to establish the commitment of candidates to support the school’s measures to safeguard children and to identify, deter or reject people who might pose a risk of harm to children or are otherwise unsuited to work with them. The successful applicant will be required to undertake an Enhanced DBS check. All applications will be considered on their merit and the post will be offered subject to the usual health and criminal record clearance. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
The hours per week will be as follows:
Monday to Friday 8:30am - 12:00pm
Closing Date: Monday 11th November 2024 at 9:00 am.
Interviews: Friday 15th November 2024

I am delighted to welcome you to the Tudor Grange Primary Academy Perdiswell mynewterm profile. I hope it will give you a flavour of life at our school and a sense of what we value for our children and in our children.
As a school we strive for high standards in all that we do. Our pupils are encouraged to do their best in all aspects of school life. This stimulating, challenging atmosphere provides every opportunity for them to grow in confidence, to develop and succeed to their full potential, whilst learning independence and respect for others.
As a staff we have high standards as well. We constantly ask ourselves, ‘would this be outstanding for my child?’ We strive to say ‘yes’ to this question in everything we do.
Through our Values Education which threads itself through all aspects of our school life, our pupils comment that we are ‘like a family’, supporting and encouraging each other to succeed.
We are a community based school, with a family atmosphere. It is a school where every child is known as an individual and where our Governing Body, PTA and hugely supportive parent body play a central role in helping us to achieve what we want for our children; an outstanding education.
I would be delighted to welcome you to Perdiswell to visit us and see for yourself. I look forward to meeting you.
