Summary
Water Primary School is a Good school with Learners from Age 4 – 11 years.
We are a small school with a big heart. At Water, we value all children and staff and we are excited to offer a temporary teaching assistant post to the right candidate. We are dedicated to providing the best education and care for children.
We are looking for someone who:
• can demonstrate a nurturing, calming relationship with pupils
• builds positive relationships with children, parents, staff and visitors
• has high expectations for all children
• is able to work well as part of our team
• can use literacy, numeracy and computing skills effectively
• is able to work alongside the class teacher to address next steps for learning.
• is not afraid of a challenge and is willing to go the 'extra mile'
• can follow school policies and procedures to help facilitate a learning environment which supports all children
• can work closely with children with additional needs
• is willing to complete relevant training to support all children
For that, we will offer you the opportunity to work alongside experienced staff and enthusiastic pupils whilst working in an environment which is supportive, positive and will offer you a wide range of training opportunities.
The successful candidate will be working in our EYFS class and will be supporting a child with additional needs on a 1:1 basis.

The interview will assess your suitability to work with our children and will include questions relating to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
This position is term time only, please note the salary quoted is full time equivalent. If successful, the salary received will be paid on a pro rata basis. Hours of work will be from 8.30am to 3.30pm.

Essential Qualifications
• NVQ Level 2 (or above)
Essential Experience
• Working with children in a Primary Setting
Desirable Experience
• First Aid Trained
• Working with EYFS children age 3-5 years
• Knowledge of and having led Phonics sessions and Guided Reading in KS1
