Teaching Assistant 3 - SEN job summary
We are looking to appoint a SEN TA 3 to work across primary and secondary phases to support the SENCo and teachers to meet the needs of individuals as described within their EHCPs. This will include targeted interventions with small groups and individuals, recording impacts and outcomes and supporting the SENCo with administration as required.
The ideal candidate should be innovative, enthusiastic, flexible, have an interest and knowledge of child development and an understanding of child protection procedures. You will be role models for our pupils at all times and should be able to demonstrate how you would model expected behaviours.
Our young people have social, emotional and mental health needs and therefore resilience and a good sense of humour would be beneficial. Applicants should be able to demonstrate a sensitive and empathic approach to working with young people. While some experience of working with vulnerable young people is preferable, it is not essential and appropriate training will be provided for the right candidate.
You will be required to work Monday – Friday, from at least 8.30am – 3.30pm (working hours to be discussed at interview and agreed on successful appointment). If successful, you will become part of a very committed and hardworking team, with additional benefits, such as free daily lunch.
Commitment to safeguarding
The school has a proven commitment to 'Equality of Opportunity' and actively promotes the welfare and safeguarding of young people. Successful applicants will be subject to an enhanced check from the Disclosure and Debarring Service (DBS).
