Teaching Assistant 32HPW job summary
We are looking for individuals with a passion for supporting young people to be successful in their learning.

Good communication skills and the ability to build positive and professional relationships with pupils, parents/carers and multi agencies
Positive behaviour management skills and are prepared to support pupils individually, in groups and whole class settings.

A team player
This is not a traditional teaching assistant role. This would suit candidates with experience of alternative education and/or youth work.

The Short Stay School for Norfolk is a single countywide institution which meets the needs of a diverse cohort of vulnerable young people from 9 physical locations. Most of our young people have been permanently excluded from school and are preparing for an onward transition to a new school or specialist provision.
The Locksley School educates young people between the ages of 5-16 who have a wide range of complex social, emotional and mental health needs.
