  • Teaching assistant

• Key stage: Key stage 3, Key stage 4, Key stage 5
• Working pattern: Part time: Part Time (30 hours per week, 39 weeks per year including Teacher Training days).
• Contract type: Fixed term - Maternity Cover (effective from April 2025) - Maternity or parental leave cover
• Full-time equivalent salary: 12.65 per hour (£24,404 pro rata per annum)

What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking for someone who:

• Has at least grade C in GCSE English and Maths or equivalent;
• Has a passion for delivering high quality and exciting opportunities for young people and supporting them in their development;
• Has strong interpersonal and communication skills and are able to work with a variety of pupils, staff and parents;
• Is self-motivated, dedicated and consistent;
• Has the ability to deal with new challenging situations;
• Is a strong team player, good at building relationships;
• Has a confident, resilient and flexible attitude;
• Is organised and enthusiastic;
• Enjoys working with young people and can develop good working relationships with them;
• Understands and is sympathetic to the needs of young people, including their social, emotional and mental wellbeing;
• Has experience of supporting student’s learning.
