We wish to appoint a Teaching Assistant to support the learning of disadvantaged pupils (at risk of not reaching age-related expectations) with their early literacy development in their reception year.
We are seeking an adult who is calm, consistent and committed, whilst our children thrive with people who are friendly, firm and fair. Experience of working in a school and any training (for example ELSA, NELI, Talk Boost) would be an advantage. However, neither is essential as full training will be provided for a suitably committed candidate. This role would suit an experienced Teaching Assistant seeking a new challenge or someone (who meets the person-specification) ready for a career change.
This is an opportunity to make a real difference to children’s lives and futures. A chance to join a committed team, on an improvement journey, to offer the education all our children deserve to ensure they reach their potential.
We can offer the support and encouragement of a committed team, access to high quality CPD and children who will make you smile every day.
Starting as soon as possible, the ideal working pattern is 8.30 am to 12.00 noon, Monday to Friday (8.15 on a Tuesday). However, there could be some flexibility if mutually agreeable.
This post is linked specifically to an external funding stream which is due to end on 31 August 2024. However, there is the strong possibility of this becoming a permanent role pending a review of funding.
Commitment to safeguarding
The Partnership Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This post is subject to an enhanced DBS check.

We are seeking enthusiastic and flexible applicants, who are passionate about children’s, and their own, learning and development. A commitment to going ‘over and above’ is essential, as is being able to strongly identify with our school vision and values.
We are proud to be part of The Partnership Trust, which is a multi-academy trust of primary, first and special schools. We are also working closely with St John’s Foundation and six other schools across B&NES facing similar challenges in closing the disadvantage gap.
