Teaching Assistant job summary
Woodfield Primary has an exciting opportunity for a dedicated, caring and innovative Teaching Assistant, to join our outstanding team and make a difference in children’s lives. The successful Teaching Assistant will be enthusiastic, a good team player and committed to supporting the learning of pupils with SEND.
The successful Teaching Assistant will be committed to supporting pupil’s with SEND across the school at the direction of the SENDCO, to engage in their learning and under the direction of appropriate professionals and after adequate training, assist in meeting particular pupils’ needs.
We are looking for Teaching Assistants who:
- Have experience of working within a primary school
- Can build positive relationships with and nurture pupils to enable positive educational outcomes
- Have experience implementing positive behaviour strategies
- Are passionate about working with children with SEND and SEMH
- Have excellent communication skills and a flexible approach to working
- GCSEs or equivalent in Maths and English grade C/4 or above
- NVQ2/3 or equivalent or working towards the qualification is desirable
