We are looking for an experienced teaching assistant, to support our supportive and successful staff team, during the length of a maternity leave. Contract to end 31 August 2025. This post may be extended to support individual need.

Our Academy is in a small village in a delightful rural setting. We converted to Academy Status in June 2016. The children are confident and engaging to work with. Our community is close knit with a very active Friends of the School group. With a relatively new leadership team, we are starting the next phase of our journey with vigour and enthusiasm. We are embedding our knowledge based curriculum and further developing our staff team.
You will need a good sense of humour and be a very flexible member of our small staff team. You will need to have good maths and English subject knowledge, be well organised and firm, but fun! We hope the post holder will be flexible to work across the Primary age range.
We can offer you a supportive environment with on-going CPD and a forward looking school. Applicants should state any experience they have, in teaching and any other work environment, their educational philosophy, what you could bring to the post and future aspirations.
PE experience would be an advantage but not essential. This post could be extended depending on budget for individual pupils.
25 Hours (term time plus 1 week - 39 weeks per year)
Grade D £14,407 - £14,635
You will need to work across Monday to Friday each week, and will be required to attend work during term time, plus an additional week to incorporate training days at the school.

Interview date: Thursday 19th December

Role Purpose
We hope to find an excellent teaching assistant with a successful track record whilst being flexible to work across the primary age range. The postholder will work mainly in class but there may be substantial amounts of time where you may be carrying out interventions or working 1-1 or with large groups of pupils as needed.
Skills & Experience
Teaching Assistant
You will be qualified to Level 2 in English and Maths (GCSE A-C or equivalent) and previous similar experience would be an advantage. Full training and support is provided.
