What skills and experience we're looking for
Who we are looking for
- Good numeracy and literacy skills.
- Good keyboard skills and knowledge of relevant IT packages
- Ability and willingness to identify own training needs and participate in training.
- To be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people within the school
- Experience of working with relevant age groups within a learning environment.
- An understanding of classroom roles and responsibilities.
- Able to use basic IT including computer, audio, video equipment and photocopier.
- Ability to provide necessary personal care to children.
- Knowledge of relevant policies and codes of practice and awareness of relevant legislation.
- Ability to work well as part of a team.
- Aware of Health & Safety and Safeguarding as appropriate to role
- Play an important part in the wider safeguarding of children – identifying concerns, sharing information and taking prompt action to safeguard and protect them.

About the role
- Part time hours considered
- Supervise and support a named pupil and other children when required.
- Provide routine classroom support when required
- Prepare and retain learning resources
- Participate in team meetings, staff development activities and the wider school community to support the achievement of individual children.
Permanent - Term Time, 32.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year.

Thomas Middlecott Academy is situated in Kirton, within the Borough of Boston, Lincolnshire.
Our academy is named after Sir Thomas Middlecott, who founded the first Free Grammar School in Kirton in 1624, and there has been a school serving our local community ever since.
The academy fosters sport as a huge focus but will also benefit from other opportunities as part of the David Ross Education Trust. This includes new IT systems, unrivaled enrichment opportunities and increased academic expectations.
We are very lucky to be able to benefit from an outstanding sports and fitness centre which has a multi purpose sports hall, dance studio and fitness suite.
