What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking to appoint a new member to our staff team; you will be an enthusiastic, highly committed team player who shares our passion for excellent learning and is happy to support children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities on a one to one basis.
Our pupils are enthusiastic learners who relish an engaging, challenging and creative curriculum.
This is a good opportunity for someone looking to make a real difference to children’s lives. We are committed to ongoing professional development. You will be able to:
- Work closely with the class teacher to support the progress of the children, this will include specific support of individual children. Focus on supporting the children towards greater independence in their learning and to ensure each have the support and challenge to learn and thrive
- Support the class teacher to create a welcoming and stimulating learning space
- Make every child feel special
- Ensure the Academy and school vision is demonstrated in daily work and communications within the school community.
You will have:
- Good numeracy and literacy skills
- Good communication skills
- Ability to use own initiative and work without supervision
- Willingness to learn
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Basic understanding of child development and learning
- Effective use of ICT to support learning
