We have a wonderful opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated and supportive team, based at Ormiston Cliff Park Primary Academy. This position will be primarily based within our fantastic new Nursery provision, where the successful candidate will work alongside our experienced Early Years Practitioners, supported by our Academy EYFS Lead. This is a temporary position for the duration of the summer term initially until 31 August 2025.
Starting from 22 April, this position is offered working 32.5 hours per week, term time plus1 week (39 working weeks per year).

About you
You will have a genuine passion and belief in the potential of every child and be able to relate to children and adults within the learning environment and be versatile, resilient and able to adapt your practice wherever necessary to support children of all ages.
Our ideal candidate will have:
- Experience of the EYFS curriculum and working in an Early Years environment.
- An understanding of early language development and the vital role that this plays in children’s development.
- A flexible approach and the ability to use own initiative as required.
- The ability to work effectively within a team to support and create high quality learning experiences to enable children to meet their full potential.
- Good literacy and numeracy skills (GCSE or ‘O’ Level grade C or equivalent).
- Experience of supporting pupils with additional needs and adapting learning opportunities.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Awareness and experience of safeguarding pupils in an EYFS setting
