Teaching Assistant job summary
Garden Fields JMI School is a part of the Ambition Education Trust in St Albans and is a large, thriving school where staff work together to provide children with the best outcomes.
We are looking to appoint a friendly, caring, capable Teaching Assistant to join our hardworking team. The successful candidate will support children's learning both in and out of the classroom, as individuals or within small groups. The job role is for 30.4 hours per week, Monday - Friday 8:40 - 15:15, term-time only. There could be some flexibility with these timing for the right candidate.
Candidates will need to be confident in all aspects of the teaching assistant role, have a caring and nurturing approach to understanding the variety of needs of children and have excellent communication skills. Good literacy and numeracy skills are required and experience of teaching phonics is desired.
