Teaching Assistant
Payscale: (FTE 23,500 per year, approx. £6,904 pro-rata)
Working 38 weeks per year
13.0 hours (over two days)
Wednesday – 6.5 hours – 8.30am – 3.30pm / Friday – 6.5 hours – 8.30am – 3.30pm

About You
The ideal candidate will be an individual who:
Has experience of working as a teaching assistant or in a similar role
Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
Is enthusiastic, ambitious and serious about improving children’s life chances through education
Is highly organised, conscientious and able to set clear priorities when managing a busy workload
Can work cooperatively and communicate clearly with fellow colleagues, parents and pupils
Has a ‘can-do’ attitude and has the ability to use their initiative
Can work flexibly and professionally
About Role
We are looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team, working 13 hours per week, 38 weeks per year with the working hours required being Wednesdays and Fridays: 8.30am – 3.30 pm (with half an hour unpaid lunch) The purpose of this role is to support in Year 3 with a named child on a rolling termly basis. You will be working alongside teaching staff and may be asked to support other children in the setting. This is a temporary role with the opportunity to extend, funding permitted.
