This is an exciting opportunity for individuals with a background or interest in education, care, youth work, or equality to contribute to the achievement and progress of students with SEND, including those with Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs).
About the Role:
As a Teaching Assistant at KPHS, you will:
- Work predominantly in classrooms, supporting SEND students, including those with SEMH needs.
- Provide additional intervention to address individual learning needs, including pre-learning, over-learning, social and communication skills, and co-regulation techniques.
- Promote inclusion, independence, and positive relationships among students.
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and the SENCO to ensure all students thrive.
- Deliver structured interventions and participate in the creation of individual SEND Passports.
- Contribute to school-wide initiatives promoting equality and diversity.
About You:

- Can work collaboratively with a range of professionals and contribute to a positive learning environment.
- Is eager to develop their skills through training and professional development.
- Understands the importance of safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of students.
This role is ideal for someone from a primary teaching background, a care professional exploring mainstream high school settings, a youth worker interested in SEND provision, or an advocate for inclusion and equity ready to take on a rewarding challenge.
