Teaching Assistant job summary
Folly View Primary School is a friendly and successful school looking for an Teaching Assistant to complement our hardworking team. We are proud to be part of the Cambrian Learning Trust, a nine school multi-academy trust, which was established on 1st April 2012. We are looking for a member of staff who is dedicated to supporting children’s learning and able to demonstrate initiative and the ability to organise and communicate effectively. Applicants should have a good standard of numeracy and literacy (GCSE Grade A – C).
The post involves:
Assisting the class teacher and other professionals to inform planning
Supporting teaching and learning 1:1 and in small groups
Liaising with teachers, parents and outside agencies
The ability to adapt and respond to the needs of the children
The ideal candidate will:
Be innovative and inspirational
Approach all children with consistency and kindness
Be committed to working with parents, carers and the wider community
Have high expectations of pupils, colleagues and themselves
