This means he is mainly non-verbal, requires support with toileting and requires adult supervision at all times. He likes to have people around him with a space and time to focus on activities he likes doing. He has remained in with our Reception children, where the provision currently suits him best. Ideally, you will have had previous experience of working with children with global developmental delay, autism/social communication and sensory processing differences.
St Leonard's CofE Primary School currently has around 610 pupils, set on a large plot, the school benefits from large open spaces for children to engage with learning outdoors, whilst having plenty of space to enjoy break and lunch times with friends. The school has experienced continued growth and success, and is proud to serve the community with links to the local church and charities. The staff at St Leonard's CofE Primary School are a positive, hard-working team, dedicated to being the ‘best that they can be’.
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate a calm and patient demeanour, who is committed to helping young people achieve their full potential and be able to effectively communicate with adults and children alike.
