Higher Level Teaching Assistant & Teaching Assistant– Old Priory Junior School, Plympton, Plymouth
Contract Term: Fixed term until 31st August 2023
Hours – TA part-time 16.5 hours per week, HLTA part time 12.5 hours per week.
Salary - HLTA - SC5 SCP14 – actual £6,824 per year (FTE £23,484)
TA – SC 2 SCP3 – actual £7,244 per year (FTE £18,887)
Term Time only – 39 weeks per annum
Start Date: September 2022

We are seeking to appoint an inspirational and motivated Higher Level Teaching Assistant to provide cover for PPA and subject leader release in the afternoons, who will also act as a Teaching Assistant in the mornings. If you have experience in these roles we would love to hear from you!
The working hours will be 8:40- 12:00pm in the Teaching Assistant role and 1:00pm – 3:30pm in the Higher Level Teaching Assistant role.

• Make the curriculum exciting and personalise it to the needs of different groups of children.

• Be sensitive to the needs of different children;
• Be passionate about helping children to learn and providing them with a range of opportunities and suitable challenge;
• Have a strong desire to improve outcomes for all children;
• Help children overcome barriers to learning;
• Think in creative ways to make learning accessible for all;
• Show commitment, enthusiasm, empathy and resilience;
• Be flexible to work both as part of a team and with the wider community of professionals;
• Have recent experience of working in upper Key Stage 2.
