Salary:
1:1 Teaching Assistant – Grade 3, Scale point 6 – 9 Actual starting salary £11,379 (FTE £25,989)
Meal Time Assistant – Grade 1, Scale point 2 Actual salary £2,778 (FTE £24,413)
Combined salary - £14,156
Job term: 1:1 Teaching Assistant Fixed Term until 31st August 2026 – or until the child leaves the school
Hours:
1:1 Teaching Assistant - 18.75 hours per week, 39 weeks per year – 8:15am – 12:00pm
Meal Time Assistant – 5 hours per week, 38 weeks per year – 12:00pm – 1:00pm

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Level 3 SEN Teaching Assistant to provide intensive 1:1 support for a pupil in year 4 with significant and potentially complex medical needs. The role includes personalised learning and care support, as well as preparation tasks when the child is not in school. The successful candidate will also work as part of our wider school community, supporting pupils as a Mealtime Assistant during lunch. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone passionate about making a real difference in a child’s school experience.
You will work within our thriving Exeter school community, a wonderful and inclusive group of schools who work closely together to meet the needs of our children.
