Teaching Assistant job summary

 Avanti Park is a school that is committed to giving all children an engaging and enriching

We are based in the rolling greens of Somerset, 12 miles south of Bath, on the edge of the Mendips, with Bristol, Glastonbury and Stonehenge all within a 25 mile radius. 

The school sits just above the thriving town of Frome, with the park running alongside our site. Over the last 4 years, the site has been through a major transition, from a much-loved Victorian-era town hospital to a new school for the families of Frome. 
 

The appointed candidate will be someone who is passionate about learning to the highest standard, committed to maintaining a healthy comfortable environment, and who has a sharp eye for detail, to build on the school’s successes and contribute to our continuing development. 

We are looking for someone who: 

·       Comes from any background, faith or non-faith, who has high aspirations and expects the     very best from all pupils 

·       Has excellent interpersonal skills based on effective communication 

·       Has a passion to ensure every child succeeds and reaches their full potential 

·       Ensures the Health and safety of all pupils 

·       Will show commitment to enhancing the school's spiritual ethos 

·       Is committed to their own professional development 

·       Will inspire, challenge, motivate and support the whole school community 

·       Has a good knowledge of the National Curriculum 

·       Is an experienced and outstanding Teaching Assistant 

·       Has an excellent knowledge of how young children learn and develop

Successful candidates will be required to undertake an enhanced Disclosure Barring Services check (DBS) check.
