If so, then we want to hear from you! We're currently recruiting for not one, but two passionate and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to join our growing school!

What will you do?

  • To assist with the general pastoral care of the pupils, including helping pupils who are unwell distressed or unsettled.
  • To prepare and maintain basic classroom resources and equipment as directed by the class teacher and assist the pupils in their use.
  • To assist with the supervision of pupils out of lesson time but during the school day, within contracted hours as necessary for their safety.
  • To assist with the development of basic Literacy, Numeracy and ICT skills and to support their use in learning activities.

What are we looking for?

  • Experience of working with relevant age group within a learning environment.
  • Experience of general administrative work e.g. photocopying, laminating and the ability to work well within a team
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing.
  • Commitment to professional development, learning and development.

What the school offers its staff

Avanti Meadows opened in September 2021 and was the first of three brand-new schools for the new all-through Learning Village and education provision in Bishop’s Stortford North. Our pupil numbers are steadily increasing: we started with 35 children in 2021 and we are now exceeding 220, with nine classes through the school. At full capacity, Avanti Meadows will be a three-form entry primary school, with 620 children, and will continue to provide parents and pupils with the highest standards of education and pastoral care.

The site for Avanti Meadows is a brand-new building with contemporary and first-class facilities, which makes for a unique learning experience.

Since our first school opened in 2008, Avanti Schools Trust has grown in a considered and gradual way. Now, we are a family of 12 schools across the UK.
