FIXED TERM CONTRACT TO 21 JULY 2023

We have two positions available as follows:

Year 6 Teaching Assistant

Monday – Friday, 31.25hrs per week (8.30am to 3.15pm)

Term Time only, paid for 43.52 weeks

£13,049 gross annual salary (£18,710 FTE)

Primary Teaching Assistant

One to Three days per week depending on the candidate, (8.30 to 3.15pm)

Term Time only, paid for 43.52 weeks

Equivalent to £9.59 per hour

This is an excellent opportunity to join our primary school as a Teaching Assistant and be part of England’s biggest Multi Academy Trust, United Learning.

The successful candidate will work within Avonwood as part of a team, under the general direction of the Headteacher who is responsible for the overall policy of the educational programme and for matters of control and discipline within the school.

Teaching Assistants at this level may work with whole classes, smaller groups, or be assigned to work with particular pupils who may have particular requirements or Education, Health and Care Plans.
