What skills and experience we're looking for

Experience with particular Special Needs, eg autistic spectrum disorder, would be desirable.

We would expect that the successful applicant would be able to demonstrate, or be able to develop, the knowledge and skills to deliver interventions appropriate to children working behind expectations in this age range.

We are seeking to appoint a flexible, skilled and compassionate Teaching Assistant to work within our team at Paxcroft Primary School. Candidates will ideally have a track record of working positively with primary-aged children and forming good relationships with teachers.

The post holder will support children’s learning in class lessons, work with selected groups, support individuals with specific support plans and further the positive school experience of the pupils. We would also be looking to include an hour’s lunch supervision.

The position would be fixed term for the remainder of the academic year 2024/2025, with the potential for renewal based on staff structuring decisions to be made later in the academic year.
